@AirWarCrimewave however, there is a notorious tendency? in amanita muscaria to vary greatly depending on the particulars of the individual mushroom, and the individual consuming them. People have used them ceremonially for many centuries.

@sensibisle1 I know the difference between them as I explained in my previous comment. Magic Mushrooms contain Psilocybin/Psilocin which these do not. Ive had a handfull of fresh Fly Agaric that had little effect and gave me a stomach ache and? I purchased some dry ones the size of small plates legally online which had no effect at all.

@Trahira517 Nope, just in the winter, the mushroom was used as an energizing tonic? to help get through the winter. That's where the Santa lore came from, the Shaman would go around giving out the mushroom in the winter, thus... Santa Claus.

@rieskimo Yeah, but do you have a better explanation? Just plain old magic? The reindeer were thought to fly because the mushrooms makes you feel so light that you take giant leaps. In an animal that is already a big jumper, you can imagine that it would look like they were flying, taking giant leap after giant leap...?
